Welcome...
I hope you enjoy the new layout and design of my website. Microsoft has stopped developing and supporting FrontPage so I'm doing my best to learn Dreamweaver. If anyone knows of a secure way to post photo albums using DW I'd appreciate you letting me know. I've tried Coppermine but I could not get it to do what I wanted with my limited knowledge.
Goings on - Spring 2009
I'm sure most of you know, sigh, that Cassidy turned eighteen a few weeks ago. On top of that, she's graduating high school in June. We've got family and friends coming in for the festivities - I hope it's a good time for everyone! She has opted to stay local for the first two years of college doing her Gen Ed's at a school downtown. After that, we're not sure. She's talking about going to the University of Texas at Austin but tomorrow she could be back to LSU or Ole Miss. We'll see as time goes on.
While the kids were in Florida for Spring Break, Alton and I made our yearly trek to Hocking Hills. If you've never been - you should go. Most people I talk to visit Gatlinburg for their vacation. We've never been to Gatlinburg so I began to wonder what the attraction was to the area. From what I've read of the brochures and websites - it's got everything you can imagine. But in order to try and relate it to people who may not be from the area, I began thinking... Gatlinburg is like - Hampton Beach. Hocking Hills is like York. It's the difference between Daytona Beach and Crescent Beach. Myrtle Beach vs Outer Banks (even though I've yet to go there either!). It's a slower, quieter pace that's just not as developed as Gatlinburg - and it's closer, too.
